About Me

Woman’s fitness coach, Rachel Law

With a passion for making women look and feel their best,  I offer a bespoke one-to-one personal training service.

So how did I end up in Personal Training?

Following a Mathematics degree at Leeds University, followed by 3 years Accountancy with Ernst and Young, I pursued my childhood dream of becoming a Nurse.

Throughout my life I’ve been involved in a variety of sport, and having had my family (Will 15, Josh 13 and Owen 11) my nursing career was becoming less practical and it struck me that being in my trainers and gym kit was when I was most comfortable.

I had friends in PT and thought that if they could do it I could too. So here I am 10 years later.

Over recent years I  have taken part in several triathlons including the Olympic Distance London Triathlon which I completed in just under 3 hours. I have  also done the Run to the Beat Half Marathon and the Hampton Court to Kingston Swim.

This May 2017 I am taking part in a Three Peaks Alps Challenge

Three Peaks, Three countries, Three Days

From my base in Chamonix I will travel out each day to tackle some of the highest trekking peaks in the alps – one in France, one in Switzerland and one in Italy.

Strength Training.. I don’t mean BIG MUSCLES

Amongst my other sporting endeavours I’ve always strength trained , which without a doubt has helped me through these endurance events.

There are many health and fitness benefits of strength training:

  • It has athletic benefits, even for endurance sports.
  • It has numerous physical and mental health benefits.
  • It is helpful for rehabilitation of a wide variety of illnesses.
  • It can provide much the same health benefits as ‘cardio’.
  • It also has unique health benefits that are especially important as you age. Benefits that you can only get through strengthening

Nutritional Guidance

I take a holistic approach to looking at your lifestyle.

I have a keen interest and understanding of nutrition and the importance of combining a sensible approach to healthy eating along with exercise to achieve optimum results.

Pregnancy and Post Natal Exercise

I enjoy working with mums-to-be and new mums, and specialise in exercises for this special population. I have had the privilege of working with and learning from Jenny Burrell of Burrell Education and Wendy Powell of the Mutu System.
