Raise your metabolism through exercise

Many people find exercise either boring or uncomfortable. However, to burn fat efficiently your metabolism needs to be raised, and a very effective way to do this is through exercising.

Metabolism involves a complex system of hormones and enzymes interacting to convert food into energy, and to burn that energy more effectively.

However, your metabolism is affected by your age (metabolism slows about 5% each decade after age 40), gender (females have a slower metabolism than males because they have less muscle mass), and hereditary factors.

A combination of a proper diet and appropriate exercise will result in a healthy fat loss.

To burn fat and raise metabolism, your exercise must include the following:

  • Be challenging
  • Duration between 30-60 minutes
  • Exercise 3-5 times weekly
  • Strength training 3 times weekly
  • Cardio 2-3 times weekly
