Weight and Fat Loss

A healthy balanced diet consists of protein, carbohydrates and fats

and plenty of green leafy and fibrous vegetables.

To achieve sustainable fat loss you must consider both exercise and nutrition. There are many misconceptions about the quality and type of foods that make up a healthy eating plan. Making the right food choices and sourcing the correct food has a massive influence on your health & well-being.

fat lossPROTEIN IS NOT JUST FOR BODY BUILDERS!!
Protein on its own does not lead to muscle growth. Muscle growth requires a combination of strength training and more food creating a calorie surplus.

So why do we need protein in our diet?

What is protein?
What does it do for us?
And where do we find it in our foods?

CARBS ARE NOTHING TO FEAR!!
Afraid of the word ‘carb’?
Are they useful in our diets?
What are carbs anyway?

‘Carbs’ has become a dirty word in the weight loss world. We have become confused about carbohydrates and their importance for health, including maintaining a healthy weight. Carbohydrates are a source of energy and come in three forms. sugar, starch and fibre. We need to differentiate between these.
